The Program Aide-In-Training is a training position towards the Program Aide position. While under the tutelage of the Program Aide or Counselor, the Program Aide-In-Training will be trained in the following areas: Intake procedures; gathering and documenting case histories of residents; develop with the residents a Personal Recovery Plan; progress notes; case management: policy and procedures of Project Ninety; Family Group facilitating skills; developing and presenting substance abuse education classes; working with residents in formulating a Discharge/?Exit Plan; setting limits and boundaries; a knowledge of services provided by community agencies and referral procedures.
The Program Aide-In-Training will be available to work all shifts, including weekends if necessary. The Program Aide-In-Training shall possess qualities of a good role model and be a positive influence for the residents. If driving for Project Ninety, shall possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. The Program Aide-In-Training shall need to be enrolled in an accredited Alcohol and Drug Studies Certificate Program within six months of hire. If not certified the Program Aide-in-Training must be registered with a CA ADP recognized certifying organization such as CAADE or CAADAC seeking certification. Certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor must be completed within five years of hire.

Qualifications: Four year college degree required. Must demonstrate a track record of increased responsibility in development for a non-profit agency. Proven ability to manage grant writing/management, experience with managing fundraising events, demonstrated ability to build and cultivate donors. Excellent organizational skills are a must. Counselors report to the Program Director/Program Manager as assigned. The Counselors are responsible for providing group and individual counseling to clients and other related services pertinent to chemical dependency treatment and recovery.
The Counselors shall carry out program services as assigned by the Program Director or Program Manager, including documentation of all activities provided to clients as is deemed necessary by the Chief Executive Officer.
Counselors shall possess a demonstrated knowledge of alcoholism and addiction, ability to set priorities, and carry through goals to completion; ability to work in a team environment, a knowledge of social model concepts, a valid California Driver's License with a good driving record.( if driving for business) and an ability to train others.
The Counselor shall hold a California ADP recognized certificate as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor or possess a two year college degree or completed the classes required for a California state recognized certificate in Alcohol and Drug Dependency Counseling or two years experience as a counselor or other paid experience related to chemical dependency treatment.
If not certified the Counselor must be registered with a CA ADP recognized certifying organization such as CAADE or CAADAC seeking certification. Certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor must be completed within three years of hire.

The Resident Manager is responsible to the Program Director/Manager and is a six month temporary full time, non-benefited position. It is the Resident Manager’s responsibility to ensure that the Center is kept clean and orderly and that the residents perform their assigned duties and attend all required sessions and meetings. The Resident Manager sees that all meals are served on time and the residents adhere to the daily schedule.
The Resident Manager shall further their knowledge of alcoholism and addiction, willingness to perform all duties as assigned by the Resident Manager Supervisor, ability to follow directions and carry out goals to completion. A valid driver's license and three months experience as a mentor are both preferred.
